Low Season – Best Time to Visit Bali

Bali is an island located in the south of Indonesia. As a tropical island, it gets plenty of sunlight each day, every day of the year. And because of this, you can pretty much visit Bali anytime of the year. You should, however, avoid traveling to Bali on high or peak season.

In the travel industry, the year is divided into three seasons. The low season lasts from mid-January to June and from mid-September to mid-December (excluding Easter and Lunar New Year holidays). The high season includes the whole months of July and September, as well as Easter and Lunar New Year holidays. The peak season, which is the busiest season, is the whole month of August and mid-December to mid-January.

As we all know, rates will increase during the high season and they will reach their peak during, well, the peak season. This does not only apply to hotels, villas or other accommodation. Transportation fees, especially airfares, also soar high during peak season. So whenever possible, you should avoid going on a holiday during the peak season. This way, you not only save on your travel expenses, but you get to avoid the crowds as well. You should keep in mind that Bali is one of the most visited tourist destination in the world.

Before traveling to Bali, you should decide which type of accommodation that will suit you. For a more private holiday experience, you can choose to rent a private villa instead of staying at a hotel. Many villas in Bali offer budget-friendly rates. During low season, you can rent a villa for as low as USD 140 per night. You will not be able to get rates as low as this if you travel during high or peak season.

Budget villas are not only cheap, but they are also comfortable. Most villas are equipped with private swimming pool and they provide guests with excellent service. Standard facilities such as air-conditioning, kitchen, and car & driver service are also available at budget villas.

Bali is divided into several areas, and each area has its own attraction. In Bali, there is something for everyone. If you like going to the beach, you can stay in Sanur or Kuta. Sanur is known for its stunning sunrise, while Kuta is famous for its beautiful sunset. If you want to experience the tranquility of the countryside, you can rent a villa near Canggu or Tabanan.
