The Tanah Lot Temple is one of the most important sea temples in Bali. It is built on top of a large rock which is surrounded by the sea.
There are poisonous snakes at the base of the rocky island and it is believed that they are there to guard against intruders and evil spirits. The best time to see the temple is probably in the late afternoon when the temple is in silhouette.
4. Gitgit Waterfall
The 40 meter high Gitgit Waterfall is located about 10 km south of Singaraja. Many locals and tourists swim there and it can be very refreshing.
